Low Tide Groovin'

Without a dance floor and live music we’re having a difficult time keeping our Groove on. I’ve been wearing out all my favorite You Tube bands.

Although the Music Cares videos with Keith Richards and the Doobie Brothers are fantastic to watch, it’s amazing how they got everyone from all parts of the world together to jam on one tune. It’s really awesome.

So my adventure compadre, Susan, brought the bikes down to the Rock where we got in a great low tide bike ride up to A beach.

Classic Morro Bay - a beautiful sunset, surfers in the water and a crazy giant squid kite that seemed to watch us as we rode up the beach. It feels so good to expend some energy riding on the sand and getting the blood circulating. Yes! We needed that!

The next day we headed up to Estero Bluffs for a beach hike. Another awesome day, we got out of the fog and gloom of Baywood and caught sun, and a deserted beach with cool tide pools and a complete lack of Covid infected humanity. Yay!

Didn’t even have to wear a mask as we combed the shore for sea glass just digging on the bluffs.

Keeping your Groove on is certainly a state of mind, and we on the Central Coast are so blessed to have the space and freedom to Groove out into nature. Definitely good for the mind and spirit, as well as my buddah belly!

As we headed back to reality, we decided to celebrate with a pocket shot of Dulce Vida (tequila, or as we refer to it as: Aqua Velva! Yes, reference 60’s TV sitcoms) on the patio of Blue Sky on the waterfront and just kicked back to a few laughs and appreciation for being able to stay In the Groove.

Tomorrow a paddle to Sweet Springs. Cheers!
